Cueva del Pino self catering holiday accommodation is located near the delightful historic town of Castril and very close to the small village of Fatima. It is a part of Andalucia called the Altiplano de Granada.

The accommodation is a comfortable, modern cave house typical of the area and also has the appeal of being a short distance from the village , whilst at the same time retaining the tranquility and peacefulness of the countryside.

Castril and Fatima are right on the doorstep of the Sierra de Castril natural park and are within comfortable driving distance of the historic city of Granada and the numerous sierra's found in this part of Spain.

There are many activities to do in the area. The mountains are perfect for walking, mountain biking, climbing and bird watching. The area has a number of lovely turquoise lakes which offer great swimming, water sports and places to sunbath. The altiplano is famous for it's historical sites dating back to neolithic times and is said to have had the earliest settlements in europe. Huescar, Puebla Don Fadrique and Tiscar were the towns on the frontline between the moors and Christians for much of the 11th and 12th centuries.

Local towns offer a variety of shopping and there is a market every day at one of the local towns. Fatima, Castril and the surrounding area has numerous restaurants, bars and cafes.
